For a NEW license, we provide everything you will need to send your packet and payment to the State: instruction on completing the application, fingerprints, notary, photos, classroom instruction, etc... We complete the classroom instruction and the range qualification the same day.

For a RENEWAL, you must apply on line with DPS and receive the packet prior to sending your information to the State.  However, you can complete the class prior to receiving the packet. We will complete everything you will need so that when the packet arrives, you can send it in without waiting to take the class.  We provide everything you will need for the packet, the same day - including range qualification.

Group discounts available if you provide a class of 4+ students.
The larger the class, the deeper the discounts.

"No pass, no pay" policy.  If you do not pass the written exam or the shooting proficiency course after 3 attempts, we will refund your money for the class.
However, if you must be removed from class for being disruptive or unsafe, NO REFUND will be given. If your actions warrant criminal charges, the local police will be contacted and charges filed. We make every attempt to keep our students and staff safe, along with persons and property, when shooting.

  Basic Firearms Instruction  

 
Class: $120 (3 - 4 hours)

The Basic Firearms Instruction class is design for people that wish to learn about firearms. Proper stance, sight picture, maintenance, grip, firearm safety and a whole lot more will be covered in the class. If you are wishing to get a concealed handgun license, but have never, or rarely, handled a firearm - this class is for you. You want to be comfortable when handling your weapon - not embarrassed!

We prefer to keep the class size to only 2 to 4 students - and at the same level of experience. Direct supervision training is the only way to teach a new student the proper way to handle a firearm safely. In this class, no one will laugh at you or treat you as if you know nothing. Remember - everyone was a beginner at some point!

Range time can be arranged if a student wishes. There is an additional fee and the student is required to provide the following: firearm, 100+ rounds of ammo, eye and ear protection.  We can only shoot at our outdoor range so that "hands on" instruction can be provided. Therefore, weather must permit us to access our range. We will shoot at private range in Blue Ridge - Northeast of McKinney.
